In May 2022, Portview became part of a cross-border and transatlantic partnership designed to strengthen advanced manufacturing skills, training and economic opportunity.

A memorandum of understanding was signed in Dundalk between Louth Meath Education and Training Board, the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh, Catalyst Connection in Pittsburgh and Portview Trade Centre.

The agreement built on Portview’s developing relationship with LMETB’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence in Dundalk. It created a framework for exchanging knowledge and information, developing training opportunities and connecting businesses and learners with advanced manufacturing expertise across Ireland and the United States.

For Portview, the agreement helped establish a wider programme of learning around digital skills, advanced manufacturing and employability, connecting East Belfast with schools, educators, funders and international partners.

The partnership demonstrated that Portview’s role could extend beyond providing workspace: the site could also act as a platform for collaboration, learning and access to new opportunities.
