Ulster Watercolour Society returns to Portview for a second year
More than 2,000 people visited the Ulster Watercolour Society’s 49th Annual Exhibition at Portview, held alongside master workshops with professional artists.

The Ulster Watercolour Society (opens in a new tab) returned to Portview Trade Centre this summer for its 49th Annual Exhibition, its second year at the Mill. The exhibition ran from 26 August to 5 September and welcomed more than 2,000 visitors.
More than an exhibition
Alongside the exhibition, visitors could take part in master workshops with professional artists, giving them the chance to learn from the society’s members and try watercolour for themselves. The historic setting gave the artworks a striking backdrop, and the exhibition brought a steady stream of new faces into the building.
About the society
The Ulster Watercolour Society was formed in 1976 to promote watercolour in the province and beyond. It now has almost 90 members from across Ireland, including six honorary members, and counts HM King Charles III as its patron.
Portview is proud to host the exhibition again, and to be part of a community that brings art, heritage and enterprise together under one roof.
